Opened January 2014, due to the \’outstanding\’ success of our West Wickham nursery, Farnborough is a family run nursery which aims to provide high quality day care for children between the ages of 3 months – 5 years in a safe, caring, happy, stimulating and relaxed environment.

Baby room

Never more than 9 babies. At least 3 Fully qualified and experienced staff. Bright and spacious with separate changing area.

Babies will be given plenty of time to progress within a caring, homely environment at their own pace. We will encourage them to crawl, walk, talk, to be inquisitive and to build new and trusting relationships.

At least 4 Fully qualified and experienced staff.

Here at Hayeswick, we aim to provide only the best care and education for your child where their health, welfare, safety and security are paramount.

Giraffes

Each child will be encouraged to develop and learn through a mixture of structured and free play. We believe that this approach will help children to develop naturally their own unique, social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional skills and will lay the foundations for reading, writing, mathematical and scientific understanding, in preparation for primary school and the requirements of the National Curriculum.

Outdoor

Large open space with grass, soft, and hard surfaces.

The children enjoy physical exercise on a daily basis, which contributes to keeping them healthy. They enjoy regular access to outdoor play in all weathers.

EYFS

We follow all the guidelines laid down by OFSTED concerning The Early Years Foundation Stage, with an emphasis on having fun and making sure that every child has a happy and stimulating experience. Your child will learn through play and by experiencing a wide range of materials, resources, and equipment, will develop physical, intellectual, language, emotional and social skills.

Food for thought

Children enjoy healthy, nutritious and well balanced meals throughout the day. The children are fully involved in the food preparation whenever possible. For example, they are able to help themselves to cereal and toast at breakfast time. Children are able to serve themselves at snack and tea times, where they discuss portion size and they can help themselves to more food if they wish. The younger children have drinks bottles with their picture which they are encouraged and reminded to freely drink from throughout the day. The older children competently pour their own drinks into cups and discuss how far to fill them up.

What they say about our Nursery

Children are cared for in a very welcoming, secure and well-planned environment.

All children, including those who are learning English as an additional language, are very well supported in their learning and development.

Staff have an effective partnership with parents which contributes to providing a cohesive approach to children\’s learning and helps support them to make good progress.

The leadership and management of the nursery is good, and there is a team approach to making continuous improvements in the nursery.

Maisie joined Hayeswick in September 2014 as an uncertain and, at times, rather challenging toddler, and leaves in August 2016 as a much more confident and very happy little girl. The Hayeswick staff have undoubtedly played a large part in this transition. They work together as a team, have a very good understanding of each child\’s need and very clearly care deeply about each and every child.

Dear Daisy and all at Hayeswick,

Until you have children yourselves you will never truly know what it is like to leave your child with someone else.

Mummy said it to the girls in baby room the other day, but I don\’t think you really know what a massively important part you all play in looking after the children in your care. The love you give them, the time you play with them, the reading, the colouring and most importantly the cuddles. Leaving a child is so difficult, but Mummy can seriously say that from day one, she has never worried about me and that\’s because of you all.

Olivia started at Hayeswick in September 2014 and from the outset we had a good feeling about the nursery as it was a small, intimate setting. She quickly formed a very close bond with her key worker, Daisy, which has lasted throughout her time at Hayeswick. It has been fantastic to watch Olivia grow and develop throughout her time at nursery and while some of it is just part of her normal development, in part it must be credited to the fantastic staff at Hayeswick.
